Dulaglutide is the active ingredient in Trulicity, a once-weekly GLP-1 receptor agonist by Eli Lilly. It is approved for type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular risk reduction.

Overview

Dulaglutide is a fusion protein combining a modified GLP-1 sequence with a human IgG4 antibody fragment. The Fc fragment extends half-life to about 5 days, enabling once-weekly dosing. It is currently brand-only (Trulicity) — no generic or compounded version available.
